Christian comedian John Crist is officially off the market. The 41-year-old entertainer announced his engagement to Nashville news anchor Lydia Fielder in a heartfelt social media post, calling it “the best thing that’s ever happened to me in my entire life by far.”

To keep the proposal a secret, JCrist created a fake “Nashville Comedy Impact Awards” show and even enlisted his publicist to send Fielder a fabricated itinerary. 

On Instagram, Fielder shared her joy, writing: “God wrote it from the start—my first love is now my forever love. I do, John B. Crist.” She added humorously that she was so surprised, her nails weren’t even done “for the first time since I was 12”.
