Joy label: The Source of Joy

God’s word says: Psalm 16: 11 “…You will fill me with joy in your presence”

The earth is the LORD’s and everything that is in it, the world, and all who live in it. The source of the universe is God. The source of our joy is God. If you seek God’s presence faithfully you will be rewarded with His joy. When you discover real joy, it puts and places you above your challenges and conflicts. It can be compared to a boat floating over the water.

You are on top always. With God by your side, you can smile at the storm as you keep sailing by.

You can’t find true or lasting joy in man, wealth, possessions, assets, materials, achievements, position etc. Real joy comes with knowing God. He is the source of all lasting joy.

Joy label:  THE OIL OF JOY

God’s word says: Isaiah 61:3b “To give….the oil of joy instead of mourning….”

Oil is a smooth, thick liquid made from plants and animals. It is used for cooking, it helps service the car and machines so that it can run easily, and it is used for making beauty products.

Joy produces oil in your heart which flows and works to soothe, erase, and cleanse all traces of bitterness, heaviness, rough edges of challenges, anger, sorrow and other negative substances that life has deposited into you.

The oil of joy heals the brokenhearted. Joy is a balm in God’s hand that He uses to help us overcome sadness, gloom, and depression.

You have loved righteousness and hated wickedness; therefore God has set you above your companion by anointing you with the oil of joy.

John 16:20

I tell you the truth; you will weep and mourn while the world rejoices. You will grieve but your grief will be turned to joy.
