Joy is great happiness and pleasure. It is a positive attitude or pleasant emotion. The many

levels of joy are bliss, contentment, delight, thrills, gladness and cheerfulness.

Joy makes you ecstatic, jubilant, elated, radiant, on top of the world and over the moon.

Joy is holy and pure. This joy is in contrast to the joy that some wicked people feel after their evil deeds.

Joy is an inward feeling or experience. It has nothing to do with what you have or don’t have.

Joy enriches and beautifies your spirit, soul and body. It helps you rise above heartache, sorrow, inner conflict or turmoil.

True joy emanates from God. If you know God you will know joy and if you have not yet

experienced God then you can never understand what real joy is or what I am talking about.

Real joy comes with the salvation of our souls. It is a soul-lifting experience.

God’s salvation is a great reason for joy. Our salvation experience is a joyful encounter. That particular

day brings joyful memories to us because on this day the story of our lives changed. We are saved from death to life. Our names entered into God’s register and we became Christians. Christ’s atonement for our sins was not in vain. Therefore, let us work out our salvation with fear and trembling as the scriptures enjoin us. In so doing, we will get in constant touch with the source of all joy which is God.
