Pope Leo XIV is set to host a star-studded gathering at the Vatican this weekend, welcoming some of Hollywood’s most celebrated figures—including Cate Blanchett, Chris Pine, Viggo Mortensen, and Monica Bellucci—for a special audience at the Apostolic Palace.

The event, part of the Catholic Church’s ongoing Holy Year celebrations, is organized by the Vatican’s culture office and aims to foster dialogue between the Church and the global film industry.

According to a Vatican statement, Pope Leo “has expressed his desire to deepen dialogue with the World of Cinema… exploring the possibilities that artistic creativity offers to the mission of the Church and the promotion of human values.”

Joining the actors will be a lineup of acclaimed directors, including Spike Lee, George Miller, Gus Van Sant, and Giuseppe Tornatore.
