Message: How Can You Tell if God is Opening a Door? – Pastor Olapoju Dolapo

Rev. 3:8 I have set before you an open door and no man can shut it.

Our destiny and future would be determined by our choices.

Every door is a decision. The challenge is knowing the right door to open and the door God has opened for you.

1. Any door that God opens will never contradict God’s words. It must line up with His words.

2. Is it an answered prayer? But you still need to match it with the word of God.

3. It will be accompanied by confirmation. Matt 18:16 Seek wisdom from trusted godly friends.

4. Is it lawful? Rom 13:1 being subject to higher powers.

5. Is it uncomfortable? Sometimes, when it is uncomfortable look at it, he might be moving you out of your comfort zone.

6. It must be one that requires you to depend on God. You will need Him the more.
It must draw you closer to Him.

7. Has it been revealed to you before in other ways?

8. Is it one that you’ve not prayed for? Don’t block your heart because you didn’t pray for it. But you still have to place it side by side with the word.

9. Does it bless or hurt others? Matt. 5:16

10. Does it point to God’s glory? It ought to bring glory to God. Jesus must be honoured.

11. Has it been confirmed generally?

Finally,

• Don’t be pushed into making decisions in a haste.
• Pray about it. Allow Him to speak to you.
• Take wise counsel and the word.
God will give you peace when an opportunity comes from Him.
