The United Nations has declared 2019 to be the “Year of Indigenous Languages.”
It calls the ongoing loss of native languages around the world “devastating” and says the cultures and knowledge that languages build are crucial for good governing, peace-building and sustainable development.
Wycliffe Bible Translators is at the forefront of helping to save these endangered languages. For more about this, CBN News spoke with Andy Keener, executive vice president for global partnerships at Wycliffe.
