The lead pastor of Benny Hinn Ministries, Pastor Benny Hinn, has opened up about not watching TV.In a recent message, Pastor Benny Hinn stated that he doesn’t watch TV because it came as an instruction from God.Pastor Benny Hinn has shared with his congregation why he never watches television. According to the pastor, the Lord had asked him eight (8) years ago to cancel his Netflix and cable subscriptions.You may wonder what he does for entertainment. Pastor Hinn stated that, in place of TV, he can read his Bible at least four (4) times a day. He has also been able to read a lot about church history, and his life has been greatly transformed ever since.“My life has been greatly changed by reading, four (4) times now, Fox’s Book of Martyrs”.Hinn admonished Christians that what we need is the Scripture and nothing else because the scriptures keep us. It is worthy of note that Pastor Hinn is not in any way campaigning against watching TV. Instead, Hinn, through this message, is teaching how we can become better Christians if we read the scriptures.He emphasises that relying solely on scripture enables Christians to stay grounded in their faith and navigate life’s challenges with wisdom and discernment.
