Resuscitating Dead Bones

Can the blind lead the blind?  Can death give life?  Can a stone-dead soldier donate blood to revive another dead person?  If a dead candle would light another candle, then there may have been fire of a different kind in the igniting candle; a fire that naked eyes could not see.  If dead bones should give life to another dead, then there may have been transcendental energy in those materials, activated only by the moment’s unique encounter.  Read the following report on the bones of the ancient Jewish double-prophet:

20 Then Elisha died and was buried.

Groups of Moabite raiders used to invade the land each spring. 21 Once when some Israelites were burying a man, they spied a band of these raiders. So they hastily threw the corpse into the tomb of Elisha and fled. But as soon as the body touched Elisha’s bones, the dead man revived and jumped to his feet! (2 Kings 13:20-21, New Living Translation).

If it takes life to give life, then there might have been a kind of life in those ‘dead’ bones that gave life to a dead man; latent energy activated by the moment’s contact.  Some would prefer to describe that energy in more ecclesiastical terms as “anointing,” it is still psychic force – in some otherwise dead bones.

What did the prophet’s bones say to the dead body?  Did the bones say, “Young man, it’s not yet time to die; go back home”?  Did they say, “I put death away from you and command life back into you in the name of Adonai El-Shaddai”?  What did the bones ‘say’ to the dead, that brought him instantly back to life?  How did the bones ‘know’ that somebody had come close?  Did they ‘see’ the dead man with his company of undertakers?  Or was it the Guardian Spirit over the bones that merely used those bones as conduits to reach that dead man and all whom his life touched?

Power Conductors

Was the force that did the miracle resident in the bones?  Or was the Source of that energy from Elsewhere outside the bones – from the Spirit that that prophet had served?  The latter proposition would seem to have been the case, that the energy was from the Spirit that the prophet had served while he lived.  His bones had merely been a bridge between the terrestrial and celestial realms, between here and there, between now and then, between whoever encountered the bones and the Spirit-Master of the bones’ owner.  Those bones were like electric conductors, like high tension cables connecting a power Source to an end user. 

Now, may we reverse the dynamics: what if the power-source had been Evil?  What if the bones had been those of a high priest of the dark arts?  Might the dead man who got thrown into the tomb have been irredeemably deader than before he got thrown into that tomb?  Or if it had been a sick man who got thrown into the tomb, might that sick man have deteriorated as instantly from sickness to death at the ‘touch’ of those anonymous but potent mystery bones?

Reverse Current

To say it in more popular Christian terminology, those bones were an ‘altar’ of sorts and a ‘point of contact’ between the two ends of the transmission.  By the bones, the human-end was able to connect with the spirit-end.  In other words, the bones opened a high-velocity spiritual portal for astral traffic and connections.  Those were no mere bones, though apparently dead.

If the ‘current’ could flow the one way from the higher to the lower energy point, from the hallowed bones to the mortal end, it is also possible to have reversed the flow if the one at the other end had higher energy than was present in the bones or other ‘transmitting’ material.  In other words, for example, suppose those had been the bones of a dark priest, which had been harassing that environment, and an Elisha took a mission there, rather than negative energy flowing from the bones to haunt Elisha, higher energy from Elisha could have flowed in the opposite direction to neutralise or entirely terminate the evil presence.  Thus, the bones could become for such a higher prophet a ‘point of contact’ or ‘key’ for accessing the power-seat of that dead dark priest and ‘cleansing’ that space from the wrong presence.  Not only in electricity but also in mysticism, energy would usually flow from a higher to a lower point as the Holy Bible also attests (Hebrews 7:7; 2 Chronicles 30:27; Luke 24:50,51).  Even water respects the same law.  Every dominant presence tells who or what rules there.
