Vatican Releases New Fundraising Video On Pope Leo XIV

By Church News

The Vatican has released a new fundraising video centred on Pope Leo XIV, inviting Catholics worldwide to support the Church’s mission through contributions to Peter’s Pence, a fund dedicated to charitable and administrative efforts.

The one-minute video debuted on large screens in St. Peter’s Square ahead of the Pope’s weekly audience and was shared widely across Vatican media channels. It opens with the iconic white smoke from the Sistine Chapel on May 8, marking Pope Leo’s election, followed by his first words: “Peace be with you all.” These scenes are accompanied by soft piano music and images of joyful crowds.

“With your donation to Peter’s Pence, you offer tangible support as the Holy Father takes his first steps as Pope,” the video states. “Help him proclaim the Gospel to the world and extend a hand to our brothers and sisters in need.”
