The United Methodist Church (UMC) in the United States has unveiled a new online initiative to provide legal guidance to its members. The church announced this week that it will host a live webinar focused on legal advice, targeting common concerns faced by individuals and families within its faith community.
Scheduled for later this month, the webinar will feature a panel of licensed attorneys specializing in areas such as family law, housing rights, immigration, and estate planning. The one-hour session will be open to all registered UMC members, with opportunities for participants to submit questions in advance or during a moderated Q&A segment.
A spokesperson for the United Methodist Church, Rev. Giovanni Arroyo emphasized the importance of equipping members with trusted information: “We believe that serving the spiritual needs of our members also means supporting them in everyday challenges. This webinar is part of our commitment to holistic ministry.”
