Usyk often expresses gratitude to God in interviews, emphasizing the role of divine guidance in his career. Before and after each fight, Usyk makes the sign of the cross, a practice rooted in Orthodox Christianity.

In a post-match conference, Oleksandr Usyk shared his testimony, stating, “I pray every day, every morning and every evening, whenever I can I go to church and fast. Jesus is my life, and God cleanses my soul.”
