Trump Links Ukraine Peace to Divine Reward

By Church News

President Donald Trump has suggested that brokering peace in the ongoing Russia-Ukraine conflict could secure him a place in heaven.

Speaking on Fox & Friends following a meeting with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and several European leaders at the White House, President Donald Trump made a statement about his spiritual aspirations.

“If I can stop 7,000 people a week from dying, I think that’s a pretty good reason to try to get into heaven,” he said. “I’ve been hearing I’m not doing so great on that front, apparently I’m way down on the totem pole. But if I make it, this could be one of the reasons why.”

President Trump, who describes himself as a non-denominational Christian, has previously linked moral actions to the promise of eternal life. In a separate interview with Fox News host Laura Ingraham last year, he said: “If I’m good, I’m going to Heaven. If I’m bad, I’m going someplace else—like over there, right?”
