The final burial of the founder, Synagogue Church of All Nations (SCOAN), Prophet T.B. Joshua on Friday witnessed tears and tributes flowing freely at its headquarters in Ikotun.Prophet T.B. Joshua, who was finally laid to rest. died on June 5, few days before his 58th birthday. The interment and laying-to-rest service held at the SCOAN Headquarters.The laying-to-rest ceremony witnessed the attendance of top dignitaries which include Ondo Governor, Rotimi Akeredolu; Lagos Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, who was represented by Commissioner for Home Affairs, Prince Olanrewaju Elegushi; and wife of Ooni of Ife, Olori Naomi Adeyeye.Other eminent personalities include publisher Dele Momodu, International gospel singers, Shirley Murdock and Byron Cage.

Arigidi shutdown commercial activities for TB Joshua

Meanwhile, Arigidi, hometown of the late popular pastor was like a ghost town Friday as commercial activities were grounded.According to reports, schools and markets were shut as residents trooped to his country home’s residence to virtually participate in the burial of Prophet Joshua. Many were moved to tears as they watched the event beamed live from Lagos State.Residents from other neighbouring Akoko communities in four local government areas, including Muslims and politicians attended.Despite the early heavy rainfall, people were not deterred from paying last respects to a man they described him as their benefactor.Speaking to press men at the event, Chief Imam of Arigidi/Agbaluku Central mosque, Alhaji Salisu Musa, said the Muslim community was very sad about his death because TB Joshua never discriminated against them.“TB Joshua has been the person helping me. You know I am not paid for being an Imam. Prophet Joshua bought me the current car I am using despite the religious differences.“He believes we are one. He never discriminated when sharing palliatives for the downtrodden. Irrespective of religion, he would help without hesitating. He also gave me the personal house I now stay,” he added.
