The Revealing Of Elvis Presley’s Faith By Billy Stanley

This enlightening book by New York Times Bestselling Author; Billy Stanley, was released on October 4th.In an interview with Billy Hallowell, Stanley recounts this about Elvis’, “He was a Christian and most people don’t know that…when I say Christian, he was a Bible-carrying Christian. That means, wherever he went, he took the Bible with him. Even though hotels had the Bible, he always carried his everywhere he went. That’s how much of a Christian he was, most people don’t know that. I mean, I’ve seen him get down on his knees and pray…most people don’t think he would do that but he did. He read the Bible almost everyday.”To him, Elvis was a “substitute Sunday school teacher.”Billy Stanley acknowledges that like most people, Elvis had his fair share of pressures and demons but he would usually go to God for help.In balancing such pressures, Stanley always thought that Elvis had “the devil on one side and God on the other side. There’s a constant battle going on inside of his head. He did his best. Whenever he was in trouble, he would always turn to God and say ‘please help me.’ I’ve heard him pray for strength all the time, and wisdom too. It was a constant prayer. It was a constant battle going on with him.”Billy Stanley went on to say that the reason why he chose to speak about the faith of Elvis now was as a result of a near-death experience he had on May 19th, 2018, where he also saw Elvis. According to him, it was a “near-God experience.”He said, “I was actually dead for ten minutes. I saw heaven, it was the most amazing thing…heaven is not even a good enough word, because the first thing you feel is that overwhelming sense of love like you’ve never felt before in your whole life. I saw him (Elvis) in heaven and his message was, ‘Tell my family, my friends and my fans, I love em, I’ll see them when they get here.’ And right before I came back…it was getting dark and I heard another voice that said ‘No doubt, no fear.’ I knew who that was, it was God. And there is no doubt, there is heaven, it’s real. No fear.”Billy Stanley is hoping that his newly released book will make people have a relationship with God. “Seeing the most famous entertainer of all time had a relationship with him. I’m continuing his message, this is what he believed. The feedback I’m getting is that people are feeling good about themselves and that’s what it’s about.”Efe Lisa IfezuoALSO READ Pastor Giles’s new book help prepare Christians for an uncertain futureDiscover more from Church News
