The fifth franchise of the ‘God’s Not Dead’ movie comes up in 2023 and this latest movie series is titled; “Rise Up!”.

The #5 movie ‘God’s Not Dead’ was announced during a red carpet screening at the AMC Century City in Los Angeles by some of the stars of this popular series. Stars like David White, Isaiah Washington, Cory Oliver, Dean Cain and Brad Heller.

The audience clapped and cheered, when producer and actor; David White said, “We’re gonna make another ‘God’s Not Dead.”

The focus this time would be on politics.

‘Rise Up’ is about an incumbent who is favoured but decides to suspend his candidacy for Congress. Then a brilliant but embittered campaign strategist decides to convince Reverend Dave Hill (actor David White plays the part of the Reverend) to run for the office. Both of them are up against formidable opponents from the past, each with plans to remove the influence of religion on public policy. In the movie, Dave struggles to answer the question: Is God dead in politics?

White believes it’s “a question all of us are asking…and this movie tackles a lot of stuff in it… When they hit, I’ve always been amazed to see the ‘God’s Not Dead’ movie. It’s at a very relevant time.”

In an interview with cbn.com, David White mentioned how they seek God’s mind for each of the series: “You know, every time before one of these movies, we pray about what it is that the Lord wants us to do with it. Where is it supposed to go?”

Cory Oliver who was featured in the first movie of ‘God’s Not Dead’, is looking forward to the 5th franchise and expressed how the first ‘God’s Not Dead’ movie positively affected her.

She said, ” The first ‘God’s Not Dead’ changed my life in so many ways…I’ve always been a believer and I’ve always loved God… it was just a rough time in my life and I hadn’t worked in the industry in many years and had a lot of friends tell me that it was just not gonna happen. And then, you know, God in his infinite way shows up…It wasn’t about me, it was about God and what he can do.”

Dean Cain equally told cbn.com how excited he is to see what his character is all about since in the first movie his character was “up to no good.” He feels his character is the only one that stands out from the lot as having “no redeeming qualities about him whatsoever.”

Isaiah Washington would play the same role he had as a congressman. To him, “it’s always exciting to work with innovators.”

Last year, when asked by cbn.com why he said yes to the ‘God’s Not Dead’ franchise, he said, “I like to pick projects that I feel like I’m being of service.”

‘God’s Not Dead’ movie was first launched in 2014 and since it was a huge success, the franchise released three more movies that also became great hits. Since its release, the series has grossed more than 100 million dollars worldwide.

From all indications, the coming 5th franchise promises to be a thrilling and adrenaline-packed movie. Watch out!
