The Hallelujah Challenge has attracted over 100,000 Nigerians from all over the world to one Instagram Live video feed and later the Facebook Live to praise and worship God.The midnight praise challenge started on June 1 – June 30, 2017, and in Nathaniel Bassey’s words during the Hallelujah Challenge month, he said, “It started as an inspiration from God. It was the leading of the holy spirit, following up on something we called the ‘Tongue challenge’ which was initially praying for one hour every month in the month of May. When we were done, I just sensed that God wanted us to praise him in the month of June, in the midnight hour based on Acts 16:25-26 and the kind of praise should be the hallelujah kind of praise.“The number of people joining the challenge keeps rising daily, the last session had over 70,000 people and that’s not including the over 90,000 who joined via Facebook.”The Hallelujah challenge has been so successful, there was a hallelujah carnival and a hallelujah medley, a collection of popular songs sung during the live sessions and there have been various testimonies from individuals across the world from these sessions. It has also featured other gospel ministers – Victoria Orenze, Olumide Iyun, Chingtok Ishaku, and Mario Ese, amongst others.Nathaniel Bassey is a highly celebrated music producer, trumpeter, and pastor at “The Oasis” (the youth church of RCCG King’s Court Parish). The anointed psalmist uses music as a praise and worship tool to relate and help connect people to God.ALSO READ Nathaniel Bassey To Host A Live Album Recording
