2024 marks a significant milestone for worshipers and the entire community of The Capstone Church Lagos, Nigeria as the church celebrates its 20th anniversary.
Over the past 2 decades, The Capstone Church under the leadership of God’s faithful and anointed servants Funmi and Beulah Johnson has not only provided a church but a centre that offers love, redemption and hope to all. As a non-denominational Christian organization, The Capstone Church opens its doors to people of all race, tribe and ethnicity seeking God’s presence.
Established in 2004, the church prides itself as a place to worship God genuinely and a place to be nourished spiritually with their fact-based biblical teachings and the word of God.
The church which began from a small gathering of believers is now a community full of members with their unwavering vision of transforming and touching lives through the gospel of Christ. Beyond the numbers, the church has also grown spiritually and members can attest to it. The church’s thirst for growth via discipleship has created a strong community of believers within and outside Lagos.
The Capstone Church also gives back to the community, through various outreach programs. Notable programs includes meeting the needs of the less privileged through food drives, free medical services, and various educational packages. By doing these acts of service, the church demonstrates the love of God.
To further strengthen the spiritual growth of its members, The Capstone Church provides a wide range of programs such as The Wisdom School for children and teens, Zero Gravity for youths, Men of Integrity, Women of Wisdom, Couples’ Breakfast Meeting and The Whitefield Foundation. Pre-marital and post-marital counseling and The City Gate School of Ministry is available to intending couples, married couples and those called to the ministry respectively.
