The Billy Graham Library Exhibits ‘The Final Pulpit’
By Church News
The Billy Graham team recently shared a post on the enduring legacy of Billy Graham, a renowned evangelist who faithfully preached the Gospel across the globe for decades.
Billy Graham’s passion and spirit-filled message remained unwavering and he continued to share the Good News, demonstrating remarkable resilience and dedication to his calling.
One of the most notable moments in his later years was his final Crusade, held in the summer of 2005 at Flushing Meadows Park in Queens, New York.
Over three days, more than 240,000 people gathered to hear his message of hope and salvation. This event was made possible in part by a specially designed pulpit created the year before, which allowed the Evangelist to preach either standing or seated.
This pulpit, often referred to as “the final pulpit,” became an essential tool in his ministry, enabling him to continue reaching hundreds of thousands of people even as his physical strength waned.
Now, visitors can see this special pulpit and other significant items from Billy Graham’s eight decades of ministry in a new exhibit titled “Platform for the Gospel” at the Billy Graham Library.
This display offers a unique glimpse into the life and legacy of one of the most influential evangelists of the 20th century, showcasing the tools and moments that defined his enduring commitment to spreading the Gospel.
