Texas Baptists Mobilize for Relief Efforts in Kerrville

By Church News

The Baptist General Convention of Texas in Kerrville and surrounding communities have launched relief efforts to support residents affected by recent storms and flooding across the region.

In a rapid response effort, congregations have organized supply drives for food, water, and hygiene kits. Volunteer crews for home cleanup and debris removal, temporary shelter options for displaced families and counselling and spiritual support for those impacted.

The local pastors are encouraging their members to “be the hands and feet of Christ” during the ongoing recovery efforts. “Our mission is to love our neighbors, and that means showing up when it matters most,” said Rev. Mark Hensley of Kerrville Baptist Fellowship.
