Sinach Joins Grammy Recording Academy As Voting Member

Osinachi Kalu Okoro Egbu, known professionally as Sinach, a Nigerian singer, songwriter and senior worship leader at Loveworld until 2021 has joined the Grammy Recording Academy as a voting member.
Voting Membership is for performers, songwriters, producers, engineers, instrumentalists, and other creators currently working in the recording industry and as such determine the Grammy winners for each year.
Sinach on her Instagram page posted how she felt, she said, said: “Thank you Recording Academy. Honoured to be a part.”
She is the first singer-songwriter to top the Billboard Christian Songwriter chart for 12 weeks in a row. Her song “Way Maker”, bagged three nominations and won the Song of the Year at the 51st GMA Dove Awards, making her the first Nigerian to win the Award. She also won the BMI song of the year, and in 2021 was recognized by the US Congress while on tour in the United States of America.
Sinach has performed and headlined concerts in over 50 countries including Kenya, Dominica, South Africa, United States, Canada, Antigua & Barbuda, Trinidad and Tobago, Jamaica, Grenada, Uganda, Barbados, The British Virgin Islands, Zambia, Saint Maarten, the United Kingdom and India.
The gospel artiste also performed in The Experience hosted by the Senior Pastor of the Metropolitan House on the Rock churches, Pastor Paul Adefarasin, and also performed in the annual Women on the Winning Edge Conference hosted by Funke Felix-Adejumo.
Sinach also in one of her interviews revealed how God arrested her into gospel ministration through Pastor Chris Oyakhilome’s anointing.
In February 2021, Sinach announced the release of her 12th Studio album, titled, GREATEST LORD which features several high profiled Gospel artists such as Maranda Curtis, Darlene Zschech, Nathaniel Bassey, Panam Percy Paul, Micah Stampley, Leeland and Jekalyn Carr.
Sinach turned 50 on March 30, 2022 and to celebrate her birthday, the music minister travelled to the Dominican Republic in company of her husband and daughter. On arrival in that country, Sinach was received by the Deputy Prime Minister, Reginald Austrie and the first lady, Raquel Arbaje.
