Mercy Chinwo, a Nigerian gospel musician, singer and songwriter announces her engagement to the resident Pastor of The Waterbrook Church, Lekki, Pastor Blessed Uzochikwa.

Sharing the good news on Instagram with several pictures of herself and her fiance, Mercy Chinwo wrote, “I’m blessed to be blessed with @theofficialblessed. The thoughts of doing the next phase and the rest phase of my life with you make the blessing more real. I love you, Sweet.”

Pastor Uzochikwa, who also took to his Instagram page shared, “I’M THE MAN THE LORD SHOWED MERCY! @mercychinwo thanks for saying YES! I LOVE YOU DEARLY! Ecclesiastical 9:9 Live happily with the woman you love through all the meaningless days of life that God has given you under the sun. The wife God gives you is your REWARD for all your earthly toil. #Mercyisblessed.”

Mercy won the Nigerian Idol Season 2 in 2012 and is also popular for her gospel hit songs like Excess Love and Obinasom among several others.

Pastor Blessed Uzochikwa is a well-known figure in Nigeria and holds the Process Automation Capability Lead -SSA position and has been a devout and enthusiastic follower of Jesus Christ, a loyal hearer and doer of God’s Word as well as being a character exhibiting various leadership traits.
