The Sagrada Familia in Barcelona, Spain, is set to claim the title of Europe’s tallest church, with its central tower dedicated to Jesus Christ nearing completion.

Expected to be finished by the end of 2025 or early 2026, the tower will reach an impressive height of 172 meters, surpassing Germany’s Ulmer Münster, currently standing at 162 meters.

Designed by renowned architect Antoni Gaudí, the Sagrada Familia is a masterpiece of art nouveau architecture, rich in Christian symbolism throughout its structure.

After over 140 years of construction, this landmark continues to draw millions of visitors each year, with 4.9 million visitors recorded in 2024 alone.
