Reverend Austin J. Ukporhe Launches New Book

By Church News

Reverend Austin John Ukporhe of the Remnant Christian Network (RCN) Lagos branch has released a book titled “The Field of Boaz”, that provides valuable godly Wisdom on marriage.

The book which is an autobiography intertwined with the biblical love story of Ruth and Boaz, offers vital lessons on relationships and marriages.

The Reverend’s inspiration for the book is from the challenges he witnessed in his parent’s marriage.

Reflecting on his journey, Rev. Austin said, “I taught this life series for up to six months. During that time, a pastor called me and asked, “Are you sure of what you are doing? You are being too vulnerable, and people might not respect or relate to you. They might even use this against you.

“But being vulnerable is the best thing that has happened to me. After years of reflecting and with God’s permission, I felt it was important for people to know that no matter who you are, you can encounter God, and He can transform you.”

He added, “I grew up in an abusive environment where, whenever there was a quarrel, my father would slap my mother before she could even raise her voice.”

“There were times they would go to a party, and my mother would come back crying. But eventually, both my parents changed.”

Reverend Austin further emphasizes, “I wrote this book as a testimony for this generation and the next, showing that a man who was raised in a troubled and dysfunctional family can still find enlightenment and transform into a godly person.”

Apostle Arome Osayi, speaking about the book shared, “This book is a timely remedy for the ugly prevailing order in our day as it brilliantly intertwines the romance between Ruth and Boaz with the powerful testimony of my son, Austin J. Ukporhe. The message in this book is very clear: No mess is too big for God to clean and the believer can have the most fulfilling marriage no matter how atrocious their past was. This work is a rich resource for the singles and married alike. I personally commend the author for a job well done and recommend this work to the body of Christ and the world over.”
