The Redeemed Christian Church Of God, Rose of Sharon parish has donated school items to over 1,000 children in Lagos State, during its back-to-school project.

The school items which were donated to the students are aimed at easing the burdens of the less privileged parents to cater for their children.

The children from different localities, were gifted school bags, books, stationaries, socks, food flask and water bottles.

Head of the women’s ministry church and wife of the parish pastor, Chichi Obiagwu, stated the project is aimed at influencing society, winning souls to God and giving hope to the children, who will later become the future of the nation.

Deaconess Abisola Kalejaiye, a member of the planning committee stated the project was birthed from the Christian Social Responsibility (CSR) of RCCG.

One of the beneficiaries from Most High School, Olumide Prince, expressed his gratitude. He said;

“I appreciate RCCG Rose of Sharon for this gift that will help us resume because some do not have the opportunity to buy bags. But the church created an avenue to make it easy for parents in terms of school supplies,” Olumide Prince, one of the beneficiaries from Most High School, expressed his heartfelt gratitude as RCCG donates school items to various children.
