The Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), has begun its 72nd annual convention tagged,  “Heaven” at the Redemption City.

The convention, ‘Heaven” started on Monday, August 5 and it will come to an end on Sunday, August 11, 2024.

Thousands of people have gathered at the Redemption City to have a great encounter with God.

Speaking on the convention, the General Overseer of the RCCG, Pastor Enoch Adeboye said: “The 72nd edition will be “a convention like you have never seen it before.

“Whenever they ask you what is the vision of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, we have always said number one, we want to make it to heaven and number two we want to take as many people as possible with us,” he said of the theme.

He also admonished the church to do their “very best to inform friends, relatives, and co-workers about the convention.”

“It is going to be very wonderful, we would be discussing themes like as pure as light,” Pastor Adeboye had said.

The church’s capacity, after being increased by a 12 million-capacity auditorium, has seen the number of participants at the annual conference increase.
