RCCG, Lagos Province 37, sensitised Young widows, widowers, single parents and marriageable youths at the 2023 ‘Complete In Him’ programme.

Samuel Pender, National President, Association of Trauma Healing Facilitators (ASTHEF), Nigeria, urged them to always seek help in relevant quarters whenever they are traumatised as a result of loss of loved ones, jobs or failed relationships.

He said that adhering to the advice would go a long way toward reducing the number of traumatised individuals going into depression in society.

He said while it was natural for anyone to experience pain when confronted with unpleasant situations, the ability to live above the challenges was key.

He noted that some individuals’ inability to forgive themselves or others when offended was part of the reasons some people ended up being traumatised and eventually ended up depressed if care was not taken.

The trauma healing expert, therefore, urged those undergoing any form of emotional pain to seek help on time in order not to sink into any form of depression.

Pastor Ben Ayanda, Pastor-in-charge of the RCCG, Lagos Province 37, the convener of the programme, while speaking at the programme, advised the participants at the event not to allow themselves to be overwhelmed by whatever challenge might come their way.

He explained that the event which was held under the RCCG Christian Social Responsibility (CSR) programme was not only to create a platform for the participants to interact but to give them words of hope and encouragement through different teachings that would be beneficial to them.

He encouraged the participants to always find someone to speak to whenever they were burdened, particularly, when emotionally down to stay afloat over their challenges, no matter how grievous they might be.

While he assured the participants that the church would continue to support them in different ways possible, he advised them to always make God almighty their strong ally at all times.
