R.T. Kendall: “The Church Is Spiritually Asleep”
By Marie
In a message, author and former Westminster Chapel minister Dr. R.T. Kendall has issued a warning to the modern Church, declaring it “spiritually asleep”.
Speaking during a recent conference hosted at Kensington Temple, Dr Kendall addressed what he sees as a growing spiritual indifference within contemporary Christianity. “The Church today is asleep, not dead, but unaware, detached, dulled,” he said, referencing with the parable of the ten virgins in Matthew 25.
Dr Kendall, now in his late 80s, is known for his years of pastoral leadership and prolific writing on themes of revival, grace, and biblical truth. His recent message calls for renewed urgency in prayer, repentance, and reliance on the Holy Spirit.
