British boxing star Anthony Joshua is receiving an outpouring of prayers and support after being injured in a car crash in Nigeria that claimed two lives.

The accident occurred on Monday, December 29, 2025, along the busy Lagos–Ibadan expressway in Ogun State. Police confirmed that the vehicle carrying Joshua, a Lexus SUV, collided with another vehicle under circumstances still under investigation. Joshua, 36, sustained minor injuries and was taken to a local hospital, where officials said he is in a stable condition

Anthony Joshua, who has often spoken about his Nigerian roots and family values, is being remembered in prayer as someone who has inspired millions both inside and outside the ring.
