Ahead of the forthcoming 2023 CAC International Music Ministers’ Conference, the Music Directorate of Christ Apostolic Church, Nigeria and Overseas, has declared July 21, 2023, a day of fasting and prayer for all attendees and music ministers.
This move, which is by the precept of scriptures to make impossibilities possible by prayer and fasting (Matthew 17:20,21), is an important spiritual exercise to be undertaken by the collective body of musicians and worshippers.
In a communiqué signed by the Music Director, of Christ Apostolic Church, Nigeria and Overseas, Pastor Tope Dada said that the spiritual exercise is in preparation for the upcoming 2023 CAC International Music Ministers’ Conference as it is essential to seek divine guidance, stating that, “this dedicated time of seeking God’s face will not only align our hearts and minds but also allow us to approach the conference with renewed spiritual vigour and sensitivity.”
“During this session, we will come together virtually, transcending geographical boundaries, to intercede for the conference, its attendees, the anointing upon our lives, and the impact of the music ministry. We will pray concerning every participant for safe travels to and from the venue of the conference. We shall also seek the Lord’s leading in the selection of songs, anointed worship, and teachings that will edify and uplift His people during the conference,” the communique read.
Urging the active participation of musicians, the Director noted that the exercise will contribute to the overall spiritual atmosphere of the conference, paving the way for a remarking outpour of the Holy Spirit throughout the conference.
Pastor Dada added, “In addition to this prayer and fasting session, I encourage you to take personal moments of consecration and reflection in the days leading up to the conference. Dedicate time to seeking the Lord’s guidance, listening to His voice, and allowing Him to minister to your own heart and spirit. It is through personal encounters with the Almighty that we can truly impact the lives of others.”
