It was a glorious moment of worship with Bob Fitts as he led the worship last week Thursday at the Fountain of Life Church in Lagos. The renowned musician, who has been a regular music minister at many Nigerian churches, was the lead gospel minister for the September 29th Thursday Showers.

Pastor Taiwo Odukoya is the lead pastor and Thursday Showers has been a regular weekly meeting where believers gather for worship and the word.

Last Thursday, he hosted Bob Fitts as he led the Church into God’s presence.

As Pastor Taiwo Odukoya was about to invite Bob Fitt to the pulpit, he said these kinds words about him: “Thank you very much, sir, for accepting to come.” He further appreciated him for raising prayers for him in the US and Singapore.

By the time Bob came on stage, it was obvious that he was wowed by the love and humbled by the reception given to him by the church and Pastor Taiwo Odukoya.

Bob Fitts gave a prophetic word to the church, it was a prophecy that was sent to him by his personal assistant, Melissa: “I just want to tell one thing that I believe is important to say this morning. I have a wonderful personal assistant… She wrote to me this morning, and she said, ‘Bob I want to tell you something, I believe that God is going to pour out freedom on the house you’re going to be worshipping at this morning.’ Amen.”

Thus, he started the worship with the declaration of freedom as the congregants lifted their hands and praised God for his Word and His freedom.

You might be curious about Bob Fitts. Since the 1970s, Bob Fitts has been leading worship, writing songs, and performing them live on a global stage and in recordings.

After Integrity Music and Maranatha! Music heard his most well-known song, “Blessed Be the Lord God Almighty”,  and he was invited to record albums with both labels in 1988.

These cassettes and CDs, along with his own studio recordings opened the doors to many nations around the world. Bob’s 15th recording, ABUNDANT, was released in 2019 as a CD and digital download.

Thursday Showers have always been a time of intense worship and the word in the presence of God.
