Pastor Paul Adefarasin describes him as a “kingdom statesman”

Pastor Paul Adefarasin recently celebrated Bishop T.D Jakes, his spiritual father as he marks his 63rd birthday.

The senior pastor and founder of House on the Rock Church, Pastor Adefarasin shared his love for Bishop Jakes.

On his Facebook page, he described him as a social icon, kingdom statesman and much more. He posted:

“Dear Bishop, 

On this august day that prestigiously marks the day of your birth, we celebrate your extraordinary life and times as we rejoice in the unquantifiable impact of your devotion as a loving husband, patient father, exceptional sage, social icon and kingdom statesman.

“Particularly now that in your vintage years, you have become in Him a colossus, bestriding the whole world with the gospel, and simultaneously, the brilliant luminary that models for millions the heart and work of our great shepherd, Jesus Christ.

‘You are truly His letter to the Church, His message to the world and a profound oracle of His counsel to so many. You epitomise His love, model His wisdom, exemplify His faithfulness & demonstrate His love. We find it so easy to celebrate you without the feeling of any sycophancy.

“We felicitate with you and pray that God’s mighty mantel of grace and power will continue to rest upon you in ever-increasing measure, causing your influence to grow exponentially and your global impact to further spread into every sphere of the global society across the nations.

Bishop Jakes

Bishop Thomas Dexter Jakes Sr. was born on June 9, 1957. Also referred to as T.D. Jakes, he is a bishop, an author and filmmaker. Furthermore, he is the Bishop of the Potter’s House a non-denominational American church with large membership.

In addition, Bishop Jakes’ evangelical sermons and Church services are aired on the Potter’s Touch which broadcasts on many stations. They include: The Word Network,  Black Entertainment Television, Trinity Broadcasting Network and Daystar Television Network.
