Pastor Lawrence Oladele has been elected as the new National Leader of The Apostolic Church Nigeria. The election was held at the church’s National Headquarters in Lagos, marking a pivotal moment for the congregation and its future direction.

The election results, announced by the Chief Returning Officer, Pastor David Ajibade, revealed that Pastor Dr. Lawrence O. Oladele from the LAWNA Territory emerged victorious with 388 votes. He was followed by Pastor Jude O. D. Ekele, who secured 196 votes. The election process was described as free, fair, and transparent, with delegates from various districts casting their votes.

Pastor E. U. Johnson from Akwa Ibom State Territory was elected as Vice-President with 297 votes, defeating his close contender, Pastor Prof. N.E. George, who garnered 278 votes. Additionally, Pastor Prof. Benjamin Fakae from the Maritime Territory emerged as the new National Secretary, securing 323 votes against Pastor I.B. Zorzor, who received 155 votes.

The newly elected leaders will be officially inducted in August 2025. In his acceptance speech, Pastor Lawrence Oladele expressed his profound gratitude to the incumbent leadership for their exemplary service and dedication to the church’s mission. He called for unity and cooperation among all church members, emphasizing the importance of working together for the greater good. “We have not won, and you have not lost. We are the same, and we need to cooperate. The Church must move forward, and we are one,” he stated.

Pastor Oladele also outlined his vision for the church, focusing on spiritual growth, community outreach, and strengthening the church’s presence both locally and internationally. He emphasized the need for continuous support and collaboration from the congregation to achieve these goals.

The election of Pastor Lawrence Oladele as the new National Leader signifies a new chapter for The Apostolic Church Nigeria.
