Pastor Jerry Eze Opens Up About Doubts He Faced in His Calling
By Church News
Founder of the New Season Prophetic Prayers and Declarations (NSPPD), Pastor Jerry Eze, has revealed that he once struggled with doubts about his divine calling.
During an interview on the WithChude Live podcast, Pastor Jerry Eze shared that after resigning from his prestigious job as a communications specialist with the World Bank’s HIV/AIDS project and the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA), he entered a period of deep uncertainty.
He said: “Oh yes, I remember a month after I resigned, I thought I had made the biggest mistake of my life,” Pastor Eze admitted. “You read the Bible, pray, and have nobody to preach to. I felt like, can God really make me jobless? Because I love doing something.”
The transition from corporate life to full-time ministry left him questioning whether he had truly heard from God. However, he later realised that this season of doubt was part of a divine process that prepared him for the global impact of NSPPD, which now attracts millions of viewers daily.
He explained that sharing his struggles publicly was meant to encourage others facing similar crises of faith and purpose. “If you have been tempted, someone wants to know how you have been tempted and if you ever tried to give up,” he said.
Today, Pastor Jerry Eze is widely recognized for his digital ministry, with NSPPD becoming a powerful platform for prayer, healing, and testimonies worldwide.
