Pastor Alade Formally Inducted as New District Superintendent
By Church News
Almost a year after being transferred to Christ Apostolic Church, Oke-Irapada District, Gbonyi DCC, Aisegba-Ekiti, Pastor E. Olu Alade has been formally inducted as the new District Superintendent of CAC Oke-Irapada.
Pastor Alade was inducted on Sunday, April 30, 2023, by the Church Authority, represented by the Superintendent of Gbonyi DCC, Pastor A.O. Afolabi.
It was a day of divine fulfilment for Pastor Alade who was transferred from CAC Oke-Igbala, Ilupeju Ekiti and elevated to the status of District Superintendent as family, friends and well-wishers gathered to celebrate the Cleric.
After powerful song ministrations by the Good Women and Church Choir, the DCC Superintendent of Gbonyi DCC, Pastor Afolabi administered the induction rite on Pastor Alade.
In his message titled “Are you working for the Lord as He sent you?” taking his text from the book of Numbers chapter 30 verse 12, Pastor Afolabi said workers of Christ must do the work accordingly with carefulness and identification of God as the sender and owner of the work.
While imploring the newly inducted District Superintendent of Oke-Irapada, the Cleric said there will always be issues in the church, but amid the issues, as a minister of God, the inductee must do the will of the Master, Jesus Christ.
He added, “You just started working. Every position calls for responsibilities and that is what those who are position conscious should know. People or the church may be satisfied with your work without God being satisfied.”
Earlier in his welcome address, the District Secretary of Oke-Irapada District, Elder O.B. Faweya said CAC Oke-Irapada was formerly known as CAC Number 2 Oke-Aanu and was planted by Prophet Adegbite in the year 1986.
He further revealed that the church started under a shield made up of palm leaves which was tagged ‘Abe-Atibaba’ and later developed to a kiosk made up of plank known as ‘Inu Pako’.
“To the Glory of God, this church moved from a small church building constructed with mound blocks into the big auditorium where we are today. The church became a District in the year 2009 with three Assemblies as of today,” said Elder Faweya.
He noted that the church has experienced a tremendous shift and turnaround for good since Pastor Alade resumed duties as the District Superintendent on Monday, May 2, 2022.
