Pastor Enoch Adeboye of the Redeemed Christian Church of God and his wife, Pastor Foluke, celebrated their 55th wedding anniversary on September 8.In a post shared on his Instagram page, the clergyman thanked his wife for standing by him when he had nothing.He wrote, ”My darling @pastorfoluadeboye the woman who has suffered with me, she stood by me when we had nothing. I was the poorest and the least known of all the men after her 55yrs ago. But she left all those who were famous, well to do and she picked me. Thank God, God had made us a success and proven all the oppositions back then wrong. Here is to 55 more years of double love, double grace, double peace, double of heaven on earth. #PerfectJubilee #CoupleGoals #GodFreedUs”Pastor Foluke Adeboye was born Foluke Adenike Adeyokunnu on 13 July 1948 to the family of Jacob Adelusi Adeyokunnu, a prince of the royal family of Owa Obokun Oji in Ijeshaland, Osun State, Nigeria.Not only was her father of royal lineage but also a teacher in the Methodist mission and a catechist. She is the eldest of six daughters and four sons born to that family.Pastor Enoch Adejare Adeboye was born on 2 March 1942 in Ifewara, near Ife, in Osun State, Nigeria and was born into a very humble family background.Adeboye began his education at Ilesha Grammar School Ilesha Osun State in 1956 and then proceeded to the University of Nigeria Nsukka (UNN) in Nsukka, but because of the Nigeria Civil War, he completed his first degree in the University of Ife (now Obafemi Awolowo University), graduating with a Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics in 1967.That same year, the wedding between Pastor Adeboye and Foluke Adenike took place.
