Faith-based movie on waiting, faith and relationships, ‘The Wait’ (inspired by Yewande Zaccheaus‘ book God’s Waiting Room is one of the first Nigerian films to move to Netflix in 2023.‘The Wait’ which began streaming on Netflix on January 13th, 2023, is a Nigerian faith-based film directed by Yemi Morafa and Fiyin Gambo, follows the lives of two couples, a job seeker and a passionate doctor, intertwine in a tale of patience and redemption.The Wait had its theatrical release in April 2021 and it starred Nse Ikpe Etim, Deyemi Okanlawon, Jimmy Odukoya, Ini Dima-Okojie, Chimezie Imo, Aisha Sanni-Shittu, Kate Henshaw, Joke Silva, and others.Yewande Zaccheaus is the CEO of Eventful Ltd, a leading events planning and consulting company in Nigeria. She studied Law at the University of Lagos and thereafter obtained an LL.M. from Cambridge University, England.After a successful career in law and banking Yewande established her own business, Eventful Ltd in 2002.Eventful is the pioneer and a market leader in the events and venue management and consulting business in Nigeria.she is passionate about redefining the events and entertainment landscape of Nigeria.The author is the convener of The Food Souk, a world-class food and beverage fair, The Beauty Souk, a niche fair for beauty enthusiasts, The Fashion Souk, a fashion fair showcasing the value chain of the Nigerian fashion business and The Street Souk, a fair for millennials featuring urban streetwear. These fairs have become annual landmark events on the Lagos social calendar.Yewande is a founding Trustee and a past Chairperson of Women in Management and Business (WIMBIZ), an organization established to be the catalyst that elevates the profile of women in management, business and the public sector.She is the author of four Inspirational books, God’s Waiting Room 1, 2, 3 and 4 which were written as a result of her testimony and to encourage couples experiencing a delay in childbearing.Yewande is the proud 2011 recipient of the prestigious International Women’s Entrepreneurial Challenge (IWEC) Award, an initiative of the Chambers of Commerce of Manhattan, Barcelona and India.
