Nicole Shanahan Embraces Christianity: ‘I Am a Jew for Jesus’
By Church News
In a revelation, Nicole Shanahan, former vice presidential candidate and renowned Silicon Valley entrepreneur, has announced her conversion from Judaism to Christianity. Shanahan, who served as Robert F. Kennedy Jr.’s running mate in the 2024 presidential election, shared her transformative journey on social media, declaring, “Today, I am a Jew for Jesus.”
Shanahan’s spiritual journey began in September 2024, following a profound personal loss that she has yet to discuss in detail. Seeking solace, she encountered Diane Robinson, a devout Christian who played a pivotal role in guiding her towards faith in Jesus. Shanahan described how Robinson’s unwavering faith and well-worn Bible provided comfort and clarity during her time of grief.
The turning point came one night in January when Nicole Shanahan experienced a sense of heaviness and despair. At that moment, she offered a silent prayer to God, which led her to reach out to Robinson the following morning. On January 19, 2025, the day before President Donald Trump’s inauguration, Shanahan was baptized in her backyard in Atherton, California, by Robinson and her husband.
Shanahan’s announcement has garnered significant attention, with many praising her courage and openness about her faith journey. She expressed that her newfound belief in Jesus has lifted a veil, revealing a deeper understanding of the struggle between light and darkness. “The pain of life sometimes can consume your entire reality, and the injustice, the loss, and the extreme nature of it all can feel genuinely unbearable,” she wrote. “But Jesus can save me—His blood is able to wash away sins and defeat the darkness that haunts the innocent.”
Nicole Shanahan’s story serves as a powerful testament to the transformative power of faith and the importance of interfaith dialogue and understanding. As she continues her journey, she encourages others to keep seeking and trusting in Jesus, emphasizing that faith is about trusting in the One who holds all the answers.
