Crystal Palace defender Marc Guéhi expresses his faith boldly by inscribing Bible verses onto his football boots.

During Crystal Palace’s recent F.A. Community Shield clash, fans spotted Guéhi’s custom boots bearing verses from Philippians 4:13, “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me” and Psalm 23:4,  “Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil…”

The inscriptions, written in silver lettering along the heel and outer sole, confirmed by Guéhi were chosen deliberately. He said: “Football is intense, and pressure is real. These words remind me who I am and where my strength comes from.”
