“I Love Jesus” celebrates the simple gospel message and returns to the basics of what Powell does best. The album features 11 tracks that strip away the complexities of modern music production, focusing instead on straightforward, heartfelt songs that remind listeners of the love of Jesus. Powell shared, “With ‘I Love Jesus,’ I wanted to return to the simplicity of what I do. The gospel is a simple truth, and I wanted to share that in simple songs that remind us of the love of Jesus”
Mac Powell’s journey into solo music began after an acclaimed career with Third Day, a band that sold over 10 million albums and earned numerous awards, including four GRAMMYs and 24 Dove Awards.
His first solo album, “New Creation,” topped the Christian & Gospel charts and produced hit singles like “New Creation” and “River of Life”. Now, with “I Love Jesus,” Powell continues to build on his legacy, offering music that resonates deeply with his audience.
As Mac Powell embarks on “The Awakening Tour” and the “United We Worship” tour with fellow artists Danny Gokey, Tasha Layton, and Seph Schlueter, fans can look forward to experiencing his new music live.
