Dr Sonnie Badu held a successful worship event recently in Cote D’Ivoire in May 2022 with a massive turnout even though it had rained non-stop on the event night.The success of the event dominated news headlines in Ivory Coast and other continents due to the intensity of the encounter and this will also certainly go down in history as anticipations build up towards November 26th.In 2021, Sonnie Badu released an album titled “Rhythms of Afrika” (live in Atlanta).The body of work boasts twelve tracks including Wellu Wellu and Agidigba amongst others.Sonnie Badu is an influential figure in African gospel music. Arguably, one of the most consistently popular live acts in the world.His unique blend of intimate worship, high-quality visuals and his energetic style of ushering congregations into the presence of God has affected lives.He’s also an accomplished entrepreneur, producer and author.He is undeniably one of the well-respected trailblazers in African gospel music on a global scene with many hit songs and several awards to his credit.He holds a Doctorate in Divinity, a bachelor’s in ministry, a Masters in Christian Leadership, a doctorate of fine arts in musicology and a PhD in Theology.
