Lauren Daigle Advocates for Child Safety Bill on Capitol Hill
By Church News
Lauren Daigle has lent her voice to a crucial cause, supporting the STOP CSAM Act, a bipartisan bill aimed at combating online child exploitation. Daigle recently visited Capitol Hill to urge lawmakers to pass the legislation, which would hold tech companies accountable for hosting child sexual abuse material.
The STOP CSAM Act, introduced in both the House and Senate, seeks to strengthen CyberTipline reporting requirements, making it easier to report problematic content and push for its removal. Daigle emphasized the importance of this bill, stating that it would bring big tech companies to the forefront and encourage them to take responsibility for stopping the exploitation of children worldwide.
Lauren Daigle’s advocacy for child safety stems from her passion to protect vulnerable children. She has been involved in philanthropic efforts, particularly through her Price Fund, which supports children living in poverty and provides access to quality education, healthcare, and safe learning environments. Her partnership with organizations like ChildFund has made a significant impact, with over 12,500 children sponsored during her 2023 tour.
