Larry Sanger Joins Anglican Church in North America

Larry Sanger, co-founder of Wikipedia and a longtime voice in the digital and philosophical spheres, has officially joined the Anglican Church in North America (ACNA).

Larry Sanger, who holds a Ph.D. in philosophy, publicly announced his conversion to Christianity earlier this year, describing a gradual spiritual awakening that began in 2019 with Bible reading and a quiet return to God in 2020.

After years of theological exploration, he revealed in a recent blog post that he had chosen ACNA for its intellectual rigor, liturgical beauty, and commitment to the authority of Scripture.

“Sola Scriptura is the fundamental reason I could not embrace Catholicism or Orthodoxy,” Sanger wrote.

“The Bible is our only reliable source of information about God”. “I have concluded, not reluctantly but enthusiastically, that the ACNA is the best place for me,” he said
