Laleh Saati Released After 15 Months in Jail

Laleh Saati, a Christian convert from Iran, was released recently after 15 months in Evin Prison. She had been sentenced for alleged ties to Christian organizations considered a security threat for “acting against national security by connecting with ‘Zionist’ Christian organizations”.
Laleh Saati’s release comes with restrictions on media and foreign contact, and also reports say she was denied medical care in prison. Authorities used photos and videos of her baptism as evidence.
