On Saturday, 5 August at Holy Cross Cathedral Catholic Church, Benin City, Edo State, the Knights of St. Paul (KSP) Nigeria held its 11th investiture of members with the Archbishop of the Metropolitan See of Benin City, His Grace, Most Rev. Dr. Augustine O. Akabueze in attendance.The Archbishop urged the Knights to imbibe the love of the Lord Jesus Christ and also ensure all the tenets of the Patron Saint, St Paul are followed and practised in their daily lives to win more souls for Christ.He congratulated KSP for its great works for Church and also for mankind, urging them not to be discouraged by the current happening in the society and world today.Advising the Knights, the National Knight, Mr. Peter Nwabuo charged all members to continue with their great, good charity to mankind despite the harsh economic situation in the land.The National Knight later inaugurated the Lagos Council of the Knighted of St. Paul led by Sir Benjamin Obieze Opiah, Sir Victor Enyinnaya as the Secretary and Sir Fred Okafor as the Financial Secretary.The roles of the Christian knights include the protection of rights of the diocese, planting of churches, sponsoring of crusades, seminars, revivals and conventions as well as giving financial support to churches, schools and hospitals.St. Paul is the patron saint of missionaries, evangelists, writers and public workers.ALSO READ: Pope Francis Urges Catholics to be ‘Roots of Joy’
