Kayleigh Bush, a Christian pageant winner who lost her Miss North Florida crown for refusing to sign a Miss America contract, has been honoured in Washington, D.C. for standing firm in her faith.

Bush received the Young Christian Woman of Distinction 2025 award from She Leads America at its annual gala on October 10, 2025, held at the Museum of the Bible.

The award recognized Bush’s courage and conviction in public life, and her commitment to upholding her Christian beliefs. Her award was also entered into the Congressional Record.

Kayleigh Bush was stripped of her Miss North Florida title in November 2024 after refusing to sign a contract that redefined “female” to include biological males who had undergone surgery, citing her Christian beliefs that biology is fixed at birth.
