Jordan Alexander Feliz, an American Christian musician, who plays a folk rock and soul style of Christian pop explains the story behind Beloved, a read-aloud storybook.

After his first daughter was born, Jordan Feliz wanted her to learn how much she was loved by God, and a song was born.

Feliz, a Dove Award-winning recording artist, wrote and recorded “Beloved” as a prayer.

“It is my deepest desire that you would never forget that it is in Him where your worth is found,” Feliz said.  “Now it is a prayer that we get to proclaim over our entire family and the world!”

Inspired by the chart-topping ballad by Jordan Feliz, the story teaches children about finding value not in the things of this world, but rather in the love of our Saviour, Jesus Christ.

Dove Award-winning musician, Jordan Feliz, along with children’s book author Jes Woller and illustrator Hilary Griffith teamed up to tell the story of a little girl named Jolie who is trying to figure out why she is so loved.

She ultimately finds out that it isn’t about how fast she can run, how big her sandcastles are, or even how thoughtful she is; she is loved because she is a child of God.

This storybook also:

• Shows young people the character of God through a fun beach-themed story.
• Teaches that God dearly loves his people.
• Sparks family discussions about Jesus’ love for His children.
• Makes a comforting bedtime story with its heartfelt message of God’s loving heart.

Jes Woller said she wrote the book because Feliz wanted to bring the song’s message to life, “…to reinforce to his daughter and all of us that we are beloved, regardless of accomplishment or circumstance.”

One of Woller’s favorite Scripture passages is Ephesians 2:10, which speaks of people being God’s masterpiece, created for His work.
