Invisible Barriers

Freedom is hard when you are a prisoner but never know that you are; when you are locked behind barriers you never feel, can never see, or never touch. How can anyone seek freedom from chains that they never feel?  That is why pain is sometimes a blessing.  But for it, many would never have sought otherwise.23 And … the children of Israel sighed by reason of the bondage, and they cried, and their cry came up unto God by reason of the bondage.24 And God heard their groaning, and God remembered his covenant with Abraham, with Isaac, and with Jacob (Exodus 3:23-24). 7 And the LORD said, I have surely seen the affliction of my people which are in Egypt, and have heard their cry by reason of their taskmasters; for I know their sorrows;8 And I am come down to deliver them… (Exodus 3:7-8). Until Pharaoh made things hard for the Israelites, they did not cry; until they cried, God never heard; until God heard their cry, there was no deliverance from Egypt; until they were delivered from Egypt, there was no Promised Land. They would never have cried if they felt no pain. The deliverance they sought was because of the pains that they felt.  Thank God for that Pharaoh the knew not Joseph.Nobody seeks freedom from pains that they never feel.  That is why one killing strategy of the enemy is to numb a person’s sensibility and go on killing them as long as they are so drunk or so dead that they are unable to feel their dying, and therefore will never cry out to be saved. How would you save a man who is so satisfied in his danger that he has not called out for help? That might be trespass. May God make us to feel our pains enough to cry and be saved, in Jesus name.  Amen.
