The Idahosa family has transformed their 100-year-old country home in Ehor, Edo State, into the Bishop JWI Idahosa Memorial College of Nursing Sciences. The family made this announcement recently stating that the college’s will stand at the forefront of healthcare training in Nigeria.
This initiative honours the legacy of the late Rt. Rev. Johnson Idahosa, the first Bini Anglican Bishop of the Diocese of Benin. The family believes that Bishop Idahosa’s lifelong commitment to education inspired this project. “Bishop Idahosa believed in the transformative power of education. We are bringing that vision into the 21st century,” the family stated.
The Bishop JWI Idahosa Memorial College of Nursing Sciences boasts advanced visual and physical simulation laboratories, providing students with hands-on, practice-based learning experiences. The college aims to equip a new generation of nurses with modern skills, improving healthcare delivery across Nigeria.
