Former Liverpool Striker Roberto Firmino Is Now A Pastor

Roberto Firmino, the former Liverpool striker, has announced his new role as a pastor of an evangelical church in Brazil.The Champions and Premier League winner was consecrated at his founding church in Maceio on Sunday 30th June.He and his wife Larissa Pereira announced social media, recalling the ceremony as “memorable and unforgettable”.“Since our encounter with Christ, a longing burns in our hearts… Let people know this love that has reached us. Now we have another craving and responsibility… Be Pastors after God’s heart and who cooperate with the Kingdom.”Roberto Firmino and Larissa Pereira founded Manah Church three years ago.A devout Christian who has been vocal about his faith, Firmino was baptised in 2020 in the swimming pool of former teammate and Liverpool goalkeeper Alisson Becker.While standing in the swimming pool, Firmino said, “Jesus is love. There is no explanation. Just believe it. Just believe and feel the holy spirit.”During his time with Liverpool, Firmino won the Premier League, FA Cup, EFL Cup, and the 2021-22 Champions League.Firmino also earned 55 caps for Brazil and holds the record as the highest-scoring Brazilian in Premier League history with 82 goals.Also Read: Darlene Zschech To Release New Album
