Elon Musk: ‘I’m a big believer in the principles of Christianity’
By Church News
In a two-hour interview, posted to Dr Jordan Peterson’s X account, Elon Musk described himself as a “cultural Christian” and a “big believer in the principles of Christianity.”
Elon Musk continued, “I’m probably a cultural Christian. I’m a big believer in the principles of Christianity. I think they’re very good. I was brought up Anglican and I was baptised.
“I believe that the teachings of Jesus are good and wise. I believe in ‘turn the other cheek.’ For a while I thought that was weak.
“I think this notion of forgiveness is important. I think it’s essential, because if you don’t forgive… you have these never-ending cycles of vengeance… ‘an eye for an eye makes the whole world blind.’”
Musk is the founder of SpaceX, Tesla and the owner of social media platform X.
In September 2021, Forbes declared him the richest person in the world. The following month, he became the first person to have amassed a net worth of over $300 billion (£232m).
